Heather Mattson

My name is Heather (Hietpas) Mattson, and I am a mental health therapist proudly serving the Fox Valley area, born and raised in Little Chute. I have spent my entire life in the Fox Valley and deeply value the connections and community that make this area home. I am passionate about helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges and truly love the work I do. Throughout my career, I have enjoyed gaining experience in a variety of settings, which ultimately led me to discover my passion for working with children, play therapy, and mental health. I am especially dedicated to supporting foster and adoptive families. In Fall 2026, I will become a certified Adoption Competency Therapist, allowing me to provide specialized support, resources, and guidance to foster and adoptive families navigating mental health concerns and family transitions. This passion is also what led me to become involved with Form the Family, and I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with others. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, husband, and friends, volunteering in the community, and caring for my “zoo” at home — which includes three dogs, two cats, and a pet turtle!
