Brittany Braaten

My name is Brittany (Running) Braaten. I grew up in Winneconne and moved back here after law school. I’m an attorney practicing in the Fox Valley and knew I wanted to give back to my community. I co-founded this organization with my best friend when I was a foster parent in need of support. I’ve been fostering for 8 years now and have adopted two children from foster care. I recognized the lack of local, immediate resources for foster parents and with that, we were able to form an idea to create tangible and non tangible ways to support our foster families. I do this because I’ve been there. I know the struggle of getting an infant placed with you when you don’t have other children in the home. I’ve been there when a teen is placed with you and the necessary programs are not set up yet. Being a foster parent is a challenging job and no one should have to go through this journey without the village behind them cheering them on.
